about

Probably one of the most honest and vulnerable songs I have ever done. Ironically, this was recorded upstairs at my family's summer home in Nova Scotia. I recall sitting in a little room upstairs, with all my gear set up on my bed. All the sounds are coming from my very first keyboard, the Casio CT 360. I recorded all the sounds by placing my PZM microphone close to the built-in speaker on the Casio. I was always quite proud of the lyrics on this. I have always felt like a loner most of my life, and on this song I think I really captured the true spirit of loneliness. I think the airy, unpolished nature of the song only makes it more real. From 1995.
