about

I recorded this one in 1995. I actually took a trip to Nashville that year, but I can't recall if I wrote this before or after that trip. I think maybe after. This is pretty much entirely my DX 100. Everything was done by hand. I just wanted to do a gentle, lilting song about lost love and forgotten encounters. I played this song for a friend, and he commented on my vocals "man, you are crooning on this one!". Probably one of the few times I ever came close to recording something that was very close to a country song. I always loved that string melody, which is so haunting and suggestive. I recall that I started to shoot a video for this on black and white Super 8 film, but it never was completed.
