I always wanted to visit CBGB's. I always had a thing for rock history, and places connected to rock history. This was just a flippant little fun song that I did just for a laugh. Most sounds are coming from my Korg Poly 800. I mention driving down to New York in my Oldsmobile. I really did drive an Oldsmobile Omega at that time. When I think about it, many of my songs have to do with being "shut out" or excluded. I always felt like a misfit my entire life.
